Auditori d’Alcúdia

It is considered one of the most important architectural works of the 21st century in Mallorca. An excellent mix between a simple design with pure materials such as wood, stainless steel or concrete. This space is intended for all kinds of activities, from the most cultural to events and congresses.

Auditori / Teatre de Manacor

It’s the most recent cultural infrastructure in Mallorca, inaugurated in October 2012 after five years of delay. The structure and functionality stand out. The design was elaborated by several architects. Two of those who participated in the design of the auditorium, Lluís Dilmé and Xavier Fabré, were the ones who directed the reconstruction project of the Liceu de Barcelona after the 1994 fire.

It has an area of ​​5,500 square meters and has a main room (with capacity for 785 people), multipurpose room (125 people) and meeting room (for 50 people). Moreover, the building has a large stage with a pit for the musicians, two rehearsal rooms and even nine dressing rooms.

Teatre Sa Societat

Some time ago this theater was the headquarters of the Society of Mutual Reliefs Union Obrero de Calvià, whose inauguration was in 1908. After the reforms of the headquarters, the City Council of Calvià allocated this place to develop cultural events in it periodically. These events include music, theater and cinema and they will be held every Friday and Sunday, as long as there are no other shows scheduled.

These facilities also work as a social center, for which it has a large room with television, daily newspapers and Wi-Fi zone with totally free computers, as well as self-service vending machines that dispense coffee, soft drinks and snacks at affordable prices.

The upper floor of the building is intended for the associations of the town which are two: the Association of Neighbors of Calvià Vila and the Associació d’Amics Calvianers. In this place, small art exhibitions organized by the Department of Culture of the Calvià City Council are held.

Teatre de Petra Es Quarter

The building was formerly a barracks of the Civil Guard, something that is still evident in its physiognomy and the name with which it is known, Es Quarter (the barracks). In 2005, after the fourteen years of renovation, it was inaugurated as a theater. It organizes all kinds of shows related to the performing arts.

Teatre Lloseta

This is a modern construction with cubic shape inaugurated in 2002. There is a schedule from September to June: theatrical shows, dance and concerts. The musical events here are one of the references for indie music in Mallorca. It organizes courses of formation and there is a school of infantile theater for the little ones.

Teatre Municipal La Unió

This theater was inaugurated in 2007 with the support of theSon Servera residents who wanted to recover the gap of leisure and culture that the Cinema La Unió had always had before closing its doors in the twentieth century.

Today the Teatre Municipal La Unió is a space with an extensive program of cultural events that serves as a rehearsal space for the different artistic formations that emerge in the town, such as the Music Band, the Son Severa Choir, the group of theater Noctàmbuls, the cultural association Algarada or the local batucada BlocnBombo.

Its monthly schedule is very broad. Theater, cinema and music from January to June and from September to December. They also organize workshops during the week of different disciplines such as dance and theater, both for children and adults. Each May it celebrates the SonServeraClown Festival, an event that has become a point of reference on the island’s scenic circuit and it brings national and international performances. Clown, humor and circus shows.

The theater has a capacity of 240 seats and a stage of 6X8 meters. In the basement there is a room for small format performances with capacity for 50 people and rehearsal rooms.

The main objective of the theater is to reach as many people as possible, for it offers tickets at very affordable prices (between € 5 and € 10) and has a very effective loyalty system. Club La Unió gives its members the opportunity to accumulate points each time they attend a show and then exchange them for free tickets.

Teatre del Mar

The first phase of the building was built around 1940 as a parochial local Catholic Action; the second one is from 1953 and it coincides with the current structure. After a rehabilitation project carried out during the 90s, the result is a multi-purpose room that can be configured according to the needs of each show. Consistent programs from October to June of theater and concerts of small format but with great artistic quality. Iguana Teatre is the resident company.

Municipal Theater Xesc Forteza
