The town of Deià is located on the west coast of Mallorca. It has spectacular views of the Mediterranean and could be considered one of the most beautiful villages on the island.
It has one of the largest populations of the Serra de Tramuntana. That’s why Deià has a landscape that is part of the World Heritage which is protected by UNESCO.
The greatest attraction of Deià is the relaxing atmosphere and peaceful surroundings. It is an ideal place to relax in the middle of nature.
Ever since the 60s and 70s, artists have chosen this location as the perfect place for their second home. Incredible artworks and legends were created here.
Deià has a wide variety of interesting museums, such as the Archaeological Museum, the Museum dedicated to the painter Norman Yanikun, the Parish Museum, the Robert Graves House Museum and the Son Marroig Museum, a huge ranch that belongs to Archduke Luis Salvador. As an added bonus, every year there is the International Festival of Deià, a show for classical music lovers.
This touristic municipality has managed to maintain its special charm despite having a very multicultural population. In Deià, due to its large tourism, you can find a wide range of accommodations with hotels such as the Es Puig hotel or the La Residencia and Es Molí hotels.
Another famous place in this municipality is El Mirador de Sa Foradada. It offers wonderful views, whether to watch the sunset or have dinner at the famous Ca’n Quet restaurant.
In Deià you will find restored manor houses and also the classic town houses both inside and around the town. Even so, this municipality has always maintained a particular charm despite its international population and touristic character.
